Tamas Szalay

Tamas Szalay develops software and algorithms for Anton. He holds a B.S. in physics and computer science from California Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in applied physics from Harvard University. At Harvard, Tamas focused on developing a nanopore DNA sequencing apparatus by investigating physical aspects of pores and designing new algorithms for nanopore sequence error correction. Tamas has also conducted research at the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics in Garching, Germany. In his free time, he enjoys playing frisbee and hiking outdoors.
