Albert Pan develops and applies advanced sampling methods to elucidate protein function. Albert earned a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as an A.B. in chemistry and physics from Harvard University, where he graduated magna cum laude. As an NIH Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Chicago, he developed advanced simulation techniques to research the molecular basis of ion channel physiology. Outside the office, Albert enjoys playing the cello, backpacking, and cooking.
