Amrut Nadgir is involved in the development of improved force fields for biomolecular simulation. Amrut earned a B.A. in physics from the University of California at Berkeley. Before joining DESRES, as a researcher at the Neural Systems and Data Science Lab in Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (LBNL), Amrut implemented recurrent neural networks that model the brain and analyzed how they perform computations. Amrut previously conducted research at LBNL, where he led a software project to develop a signal analysis tool that extracts periodic features from multi-channel signal input over time. In his free time, he enjoys boxing, singing, biking, and going on hikes. He also loves to read anything that piques his interest and is looking forward to traveling to new places over the next few years.
