Sam Garfinkle

Sam Garfinkle is involved with simulation studies of biological systems. He received his A.B. in chemistry from Princeton University. His thesis research with Todd Hyster's group focused on the application of structural and computational biology methods to directed evolution of enzymes for light-driven biocatalysis. Sam also conducted research in John Grove's lab at Princeton, where he worked on using modified Mn-pophyrin and -salen frameworks for selective sp3 C-H functionalization. In his free time, he enjoys running, playing tennis, and eating at the many wonderful restaurants in NYC.
