Colin Bunner is involved in the development of improved force fields for biomolecular simulation. He received his B.S. in chemistry from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. As an undergraduate student in J. Ilja Siepmann's lab, Colin performed Gibbs Ensemble Monte Carlo calculations demonstrating fluid-fluid immiscibility in water/hydrogen mixtures at pressures of a few GPa, a result with applications to thermodynamic models of Earth's mantle and Giant planets. In his free time, he enjoys running, watching just about anything on television, and cooking.
