AI In-House Counsel
  • Successful candidates will advise on and help shape the group’s ongoing efforts applying machine learning to drug discovery, biomolecular simulation, and biophysics. Responsibilities will include:

    • Identifying and mitigating risks, defining policies, and establishing and maintaining best practices for our artificial intelligence and machine learning work, including in the intellectual property, regulatory, data usage and privacy, cybersecurity, and compliance spaces
    • Negotiating, drafting, and reviewing a broad range of contracts, including agreements relating to our artificial intelligence and machine learning initiatives
    • Advising on the structure of transactions related to our artificial intelligence and machine learning efforts
    • Counseling company leadership on legal and business issues as they arise

    Candidates should have meticulous attention to detail, as well as exceptional writing, communication, analytical, and project management skills. Chief of Staff to the Executive Committee
  • Individual sought to support the Executive Committee at the firm. Data Associate
  • Successful hires will support our machine learning team by processing and organizing scientific datasets relevant to drug discovery and development. Candidates should have an undergraduate degree in a STEM field, hands-on experience in a Linux environment, and familiarity with Python and SQL. Financial Operations Associate

Information Security Engineer

LLM Researcher and Engineer
  • Successful hires will work on developing and applying large language models (LLMs) to problems in molecular science and drug discovery. Responsibilities include:

    • Scaling and optimizing large model training and inference workflows on cutting-edge DESRES infrastructure
    • Pre-training, including designing data pipelines and distributed/parallel training
    • Post-training techniques, such as reinforcement learning, contrastive learning, and instruction tuning

Machine Learning Researcher and Engineer
  • Successful hires will expand the group’s efforts applying machine learning to drug discovery, biomolecular simulation, and biophysics. ML DevOps Engineer
  • Successful hires will contribute to the management of machine learning (ML) data and development of related infrastructure. Patent Attorney
  • Successful candidates will work closely with our drug discovery and development team to develop a deep understanding of their project goals, progress, and challenges, and play a pivotal role in crafting and implementing our IP strategy. They will oversee all aspects of intellectual property activities within drug discovery and development and will be encouraged to think deeply and creatively to maximize protection of our assets. Responsibilities will include gathering data and experimental procedures to craft our patent applications, managing our drug discovery and development patent portfolio, working with outside counsel for filing and prosecution, and providing freedom-to-operate and patentability guidance to program teams.

    Candidates must have a master’s or PhD in organic or medicinal chemistry, a JD, and be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. At least four years of patent prosecution experience, either in a law firm or an in-house biotech/pharma setting, is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in managing patent portfolios throughout the drug discovery and development process, including early-stage medicinal chemistry, formulation development, and dosing regimens.
