Charles Rendleman coordinates and contributes to the development of a wide range of software. He earned a Ph.D. and an A.M. in physics from Princeton University, as well as a B.S. in physics with highest honors from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He came to DESRES from the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where he spent ten years conducting research in scalable, adaptive methods for the solution of partial differential equations that arise in combustion and materials science. Before that, Charles worked at Exxon Production Research, where he built software and systems for oil and gas exploration.
