Lampros Mountrakis

Lampros Mountrakis supports the use and development of simulation software. Prior to joining DESRES, Lampros was a research associate at Electric Ant Lab in Amsterdam, bringing simulations of complex fluids to the cloud. Lampros holds a Ph.D. in computational science from the University of Amsterdam where he studied the transport of blood cells using fully resolved models, as well as an M.S. and B.S. in physics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh). Lampros has previously held positions as a scientific programmer in the Laboratory of Heat Transfer and Environmental Engineering at AUTh and in the users and application support unit of the Scientific Computing Centre at AUTh. In his free time, Lampros enjoys shooting long exposure photography and (re)producing novel cooking recipes.
