Dazhi Tan applies simulation to study biological systems, with a focus on nucleic acids. Dazhi received a Ph.D. from Columbia University, as well as a B.S. from Tsinghua University in Beijing, both in biological sciences. His graduate research involved solving the structures of a number of proteins and protein-RNA complexes using X-ray crystallography. In his free time, Dazhi enjoys reading maps and history books. He is also a fervent soccer fan.
