Tim Layman

Tim Layman works on hardware architecture, design, and implementation for Anton. He came to DESRES from Cisco Systems, where, as a Technical Leader, he led microarchitectural development for ASIC design on a high-end router project. Prior to Cisco, he served as an Engineering Manager at SGI, where he led a team in the development of the R10,000 series of microprocessors. Tim also served as a Design Engineer at MIPS, Tandem, and Amdahl. Tim received a B.A. in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of Connecticut. His interests include fine wines, baseball, genetics, and cellular machinery.
