Venkatesh Mysore

Venkatesh Mysore works with Dr. Shaw on a variety of research topics, including enhanced conformational sampling methods, protein structure prediction, and free energy calculations. Before joining DESRES, he was a Research Scientist in the Bioinformatics Group at New York University's Courant Institute, where he earned a Ph.D. in computer science. Venkatesh received an M.S. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and a B.Tech. with honors from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, both in computer science. In addition to systems biology problems like the analysis of biochemical networks and the prediction of protein-DNA binding, his past research interests include hybrid automata, algebraic model checking, and multi-agent simulation for catastrophe preparedness and response.
