Edmond Chow designs algorithms and develops software for Desmond and Anton. He earned a Ph.D. in computer science, with a minor in aerospace engineering, from the University of Minnesota, and a B.A.Sc. in systems design engineering from the University of Waterloo. Prior to joining DESRES, Edmond was a Computational Scientist and Project Leader at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where he worked on numerical and discrete algorithms for high-performance computing. He is a recipient of a 2002 Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE) and is an Associate Editor of the SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing.
